My Story: When I was a senior in high school I interned at a beauty salon. I helped that manager with her appointments, and book keeping. One day it was very slow when a lady walked in with a mentally challenges boy who was about 12 years old. When his mother walked in she tried to direct him to the chair he was supposed to sit in, but he wouldn’t walk because he was staring at me. After she got him to sit down she walked over to the lady who was supposed to cut his hair, the boy then got out of his chair and ran over to me. After staring there staring at me for about 5 seconds he leaned over and gave me a hug. The mother was standing by and said that she was shocked because he barely interacted with anybody, and never anybody he has never met before. After that she took him over and sat him in a different chair around the corner where he would be getting his hair cut. The stylist couldn’t even get his hair cut because he was leaning over so far to see around the corner to see me. I continued with my work at the front desk. At one point I heard him make a really loud grunting noise (because he could not speak) and looked up to see him pointing at me. At that point it felt as though someone put their hand on my right shoulder and brushed it down to the lower left side of my back. I was pretty freaked out.
